I was playing around with the Wayback Machine - a website that allows you to see archived versions of websites - and had the idea to view the White House’s homepage (http://www.whitehouse.gov). This is what it looked like in December of 1998. Seriously. Those flags are animated gifs. A world power had THIS as their homepage. Really makes you value how far the internet has come, doesn’t it?
