Mr. Hustle

My name is Mark. You wouldn't know it from this blog, but I enjoy writing. When I played recreational sports as a child, I'd consistently get the "Mr. Hustle" award - a distinction that went to the player that always comes to practice and tries his best. It was not until I was older that I realized I kept getting this award because I sucked, and the coaches needed to give me SOMETHING come awards time at the end of the season barbecue. I now embrace the title because it sounds like a cool Hip-Hop alias. Also, I'm still a terrible athlete.

Reporting From The Press Box: An Onward State Diary

I usually don’t post things I write for Onward State, mostly because I write for the blog so often. But this piece is different. This past Saturday, I got to go into the Press Box for the game - an opportunity I honestly did not think I would get during my time here. It was a really cool experience, and I think I wrote about it in a way that is at least somewhat entertaining.
